Rome Day 1

So, I've never actually written a blog before but this should be fun. Sometimes I'll have internet and sometimes I won't, but I'll make to effort to update regularly. So here it goes.

Ciao tutti! Mi chiamo Mary Margaret e sono contento a dirvi del mio tempo in Italia! I am participating in two programs while I study abroad here, one concerning Art History and History of Science and the other being language immersion. Hopefully, this will be an interesting read and I'll be able to put up some cool photos that I take with my beautiful camera. Andiamo!

Today is Day 3 in Roma, so I'll start with Days 1 and 2.

Day 1:

I got to the Fiumicino airport at around 9:30 am and happened to run into another girl who's in my program at the baggage claim area. We decided to wait for two other girls whose plane had been delayed, but after about 2 hours of that, chose to go to the hotel instead. We took the train (lots of graffiti) and then a cab (little bit of traffic) and got to Hotel Tiziano, where we have been staying. It's pretty nice, kinda small, but comfy. That was about 1:15 in the afternoon. And we had to meet Professor Duclaux in the lobby at 2:00 for an orientation session. Which was basically a tour of some famous Roman places and monuments, such as the Campo dei Fiori, La Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon, all of which were very awesome. On the other hand, jet lag. So we had some dinner (pizza) and took an early night. And since I forgot my camera for our tour, I'll put those pictures in Day 2's post, when I actually took the pictures. Ciao!
